What’s New in Microsoft Teams | August 2023

Oh ! Do I see correctly, looks like there were only few updates. Has my dream came true and you are focusing mainly to bug (or you say 'by design') fixing, at least one month in year?

Here are few improvements what you could think about:

1) A possibility to pop-out the whole chat section. It is super painful to jump between chats, teams, apps etc.. If you could give us "pop-out chats" it would be great! I know, single chats can be pop-out, but that is not what I'm looking for.

2) Can you give us a [privacy] -tag for calls and chats? Now when we have policy based recording, it would be nice to be able to offer users to make private calls which could be excluded from the recordings.

3) Can you finally redesign the contact cards, search bars and users lists so that longer names can be seen as well. We all are not just John Doe or Mary Doe.

4) Would be nice if there will be a day when we can see that monospace font type on the chat works with multiple lines.

5) This is hopeless, but: when the apps we have been blocked on TAC are not visible on the apps list? I know it might be bad business to you, but can you still think about your customers?

6) Please fix this: set-csteamsapppermissionpolicy as you are still asking: "but do not use this cmdlet."  It is great PS CMDLet, but that text

7) When you do redesign for image view? If you are in a meeting and open image from chat, the preview's [Close] button is on the same location with meeting [Leave] button.

😎 There are still many great features on the Skype for Business which you have not yet replicated to Teams, and one of the best is a possibility to share multiple windows at once. Try it by yourself, prevent from yourself to share desktop, and try to share two applications. Count how many clicks that required if you need to switch them multiple times. It is painful!
