Until exactly the day that New Teams was released, my meetings on Teams had absolutely remarkable noise suppression -- leaf blowers outside my window, barking chihuahuas on my lap, roaring air conditioner -- nothing could be heard by my coworkers on the other end of my calls. Since then, it's as if my non-speaking audio has been enhanced. I'm getting frequent comments about the incessant outside and inside noises that all used to be amazingly suppressed. If I google the problem and/or go onto Microsoft forums, there seems to be a strict policy of steering people towards their settings and blaming the microphone hardware of the many complainers (none of which, apparently, has any positive effect). Toggling from New to Old Teams does nothing. While the system you're describing sounds intriguing, it can't possibly be much better than the way it was before the Teams-side software suppression was clearly nerfed. I don't see that you're necessarily charging for this new setup, but Microsoft is certainly going to be collecting a tremendous amount of biometric data to help people "solve" this newly de-solved problem. Sorry for the rant, but this one is fairly transparent and maddening. Elaine, can you say in all honesty that you know of no changes that have been made to Teams-side noise suppression in recent months to coincide with this "voice isolation" rollout?
