Great set of questions folks - here are some of the answers:
- Andrew_Woo This feature is currently available to all Private TAP and Public Preview enrolled customers. We are aiming to release it soon for GA but would love to gather some feedback from our TAP and Public Preview enrolled customers before we progress it through general availability soon. IT Admins can enroll users to public preview, please see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/public-preview-doc-updates. Let us know if you are still unable to turn the feature on after enrolling in public preview.
- directrouting860 - love your user name 🙂 There are no immediate plans to E2EE direct routing calls.
- NikkiChapple_ - Yes E2EE will work for federated Teams 1:1 calls as long as both tenant users have the policy turned on and have opted in for E2EE
- James Mountford - Policy setting is available via PowerShell and the UI update for Admin portal will be available as soon as we release to GA. To set policy via PowerShell, please refer to this guide: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/teams/new-csteamsenhancedencryptionpolicy?view=teams-ps
- Reza_Ameri Yes it will work for guest users as long as they have the policy turned on and have opted in. Web calls are not E2EE however are encrypted by standard Encryption.
