The roadmap looks nice, but is lacking anything regarding the single biggest missing feature that is preventing my customers from making the transition. That feature is the ability to add additional phone numbers to contacts. How exactly was this overlooked? Or am I missing it somewhere?
All I know is that when I talk to clients about moving to Teams for voice, they laugh me out of the room when they find out you can't add phone numbers to a contact.
"What if you have to call someone on their cell phone? You mean I really have to leave Teams and go to Outlook or somewhere else to find their cell phone number and then dial it manually? That might work if I had a phone on my desk. But part of what makes Teams attractive is the fact that I don't need a phone and should be able to do most of my communication on a single platform. Let me know when this product is actually ready for business use and then I'll consider it. Until then, we'll stick with what we've got."
I can't tell you how many times I've heard that. Microsoft needs to get on the ball and get this added, and quick!
