csmithscf The Surface Hub and our Microsoft Teams Rooms systems are very different.
The Surface Hub is not the "flagship device" for Microsoft Teams. Surface Hub is a great device targeted at collaboration spaces where people want an all-in-one experience, with all the controls on the front of room screen, and the ability to run windows apps on the device.
Our flagship systems for meeting rooms are the Microsoft Teams Rooms systems. You should check out our keynote at Enterprise Connect 2019, at http://aka.ms/ec2019, where I announced support for touch displays, including WCD, and digital whiteboarding coming to MTR this quarter. We will however continue to require a console as well, based on customer feedback we do not believe most rooms would be suitable for people having to go up to the front of the room to join or control meetings.
The Surface Hub 2S software is exactly the same as Surface Hub 1, so there will.not be any convergence with the MTR experience and that Hub experience.
