In doing some research for a customer having issues with Bluetooth beaconing not working very reliably, I've come to a few points of contention and I wanted to reach out to see if someone could possibly point me in the right direction or to some official documentation.
From what I have read, tested and understand, Bluetooth beaconing for the MTR only partially relies on Bluetooth itself. From what I am reading, it more relies on location based services, and in turn Exchange then provides a list of available rooms in the current location. Bluetooth just kind of speeds up the process and allows a specific device to be queried via Exchange. Am I understanding this correctly, or am I completely off-base?
What tends to work the most reliably for the customer is the Teams app on a mobile phone. The Teams application on a laptop running Windows, tends to not work as often, if at all. The problem with this, is that I cannot fully validate this as I only have access to limited hardware, and my Laptop and MTR setup works fine, as well as my mobile device. Would someone be able to provide a little more insight on this?
Also, is there an official guide on how the Bluetooth beaconing is supposed to work somewhere? (not like a standard user manual, more of an IT setup guide)
Thanks in advance!
