Thought I would provide some updates now that Cisco video devices are MTR certified.   

  • Cisco video devices are not proprietary and support 3rd party peripherals.
  • Management of the video devices via Control Hub is superior to other offerings in the industry and is available free of charge to customers.  Software updates are all handled via Control Hub and the customer doesn't need to deal with different versions of Android as it is in a container within RoomOS
  • Recommending PC based devices in larger rooms puts the burden of complexity and management on customers and makes them overly reliant on AV integrators and costly managed services.   Cisco video devices can enable much simpler deployments and have been deployed in the largest and most complex rooms and video deployments in the world.  
  • As customers deploy video in more of their conference rooms, investment protection in the video hardware they choose is extremely important.  Cisco video devices have a long history and track record of being used by customers for at least 5-7 years, this will significantly outlast any PC based platform.
