I can only agree, there updates ALWAYS break things, sometimes even the update process, it is often a different team that makes the updates and perhaps they just dont have the same level of rigour as the original authors, I dont know, was never part of that. What I do know is that I moved from using windows to using linux because of Microsoft - they finally tipped the balance when I switched on a machine for an important call for it to spend the next half an hour updating the OS because some bozo at Microsoft thought I should have it updated whether it was convenient or not. Whether they like it or not it is my machine and I may need it right at that moment, I use Linux because they arent so damned stupid about things. It is a bit like their password crap on this page, I entered the password was told it was wrong so said ok I will change it, to put in the wrong password to be told I couldnt use that because it was 'old' now to be damned honest the account is my concern not theirs, let me use a password of my choosing so its not written on a file somewhere because I cant remember it.
