We are excited to announce that Microsoft Teams will be available on the new Apple Vision Pro when it launches on February 2. Microsoft Teams will bring engaging spatial computing experiences to your fingertips with the smart place to work on Apple Vision Pro. Beginning February 2, users can download Teams as well as Microsoft Copilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and Loop from the App Store on Apple Vision Pro.

At Microsoft, we are committed to providing our customers with great Microsoft 365 experiences across their favorite platforms and devices. We have worked closely with Apple for many years to bring the best of Teams and Microsoft 365 to iPhone, iPad, and Mac. And now, we are excited about the Teams innovations we are delivering for Apple Vision Pro, with new capabilities tailored especially for spatial computing.

With the Microsoft Teams app on Apple Vision Pro, you can use all your communication and collaboration capabilities of Microsoft Teams. Meet, chat, call, collaborate, and engage with your business processes – be a part of all Teams has to offer in the smart place to connect, communicate, and work together.

Beyond the core Teams capabilities you love, Teams on Apple Vision Pro makes use of innovative capabilities of Apple Vision Pro to make your experience great. On a Teams video call, users wearing Apple Vision Pro are represented as a Persona – a digital representation of themselves that reflects their face and hand movements in real time — that others on the Teams video call will see.

Microsoft Teams is a hub for communication and collaboration with content – and you often need multiple windows open in Teams at the same time to have the information you need at your fingertips. Teams on Apple Vision Pro uses the infinite canvas - you can open apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, scale them to any size, and place them anywhere to access content seamlessly during your Teams meetings and chats. You can also easily collaborate with 3D content in Teams – effortlessly sharing and previewing 3D content in Teams chats and channels.

Teams is a space where people connect and communicate with each other and create a sense of belonging and collaboration, and your chats come to life on Apple Vision Pro. Reactions and together emojis have a greater sense of depth and dimension, which help make your chat interactions more expressive and meaningful.

Teams users love how easy it is to use Teams from anywhere and on any device and how well Teams works across your devices. Teams on Apple Vision Pro will be no different – Teams meetings and calls transfer seamlessly across devices so you can switch devices without interrupting the flow of your meeting. With one tap you can easily transfer your Teams meeting from desktop or mobile to Apple Vision Pro – or from Apple Vision Pro to your other devices.

Learn more about all the Microsoft 365 apps that are available on Apple Vision Pro beginning February 2, here. We will continue bringing innovative experiences to new devices, including bringing Microsoft Mesh to Apple Vision Pro in the coming year.

We are excited about bringing Teams to our Apple Vision Pro users and would love to hear your feedback about your experience using Teams on Apple Vision Pro.

It would be great news except for the fact that business users are unable to access their work accounts.  with visionOS 1.1 released, I am hopeful that we will see intune released any day.

Using the Apple Vision Pro for business with Microsoft has one major glaring deficiency. There is no Microsoft Remote Desktop client available in the Apple Vision Pro, like there is for MAC, IPad, IPhone, and Windows. The only way to do this right now is to run RD client on MAC and mirror the MAC to the Vision Pro. This is not an ideal solution since it ties you down to the MAC location. If the RD client were native in the Visio Pro, I would have total freedom to work from any location with in infinite workspace. Even if Apple supported mirroring an IPhone (or IPad) to the Vision Pro I could run RD client on that device and work from any location, but Apple doesn’t support that.

Most companies are running a Microsoft cloud or server setup that their employees remotely connect into. So, this is a big deficiency if a person wants to use the Vision Pro as a business productivity tool.

Any ETA for Intune support? We have execs who purchased one and want to be able to access their work data.

  • Is there an eta for Intune loricraw seems like the biggest ask.

Exciting stuff, was just talking to the team about the unnecessary monitors that fill up our desk!

Very frustrated that M365 apps were released, but Microsoft Intune was not. My top use case was M365 productivity apps, but as an Enterprise user, none of that is usable yet. This should have been a priority to address along with the launch of M365 apps.

Microsoft Intune has yet to be released for Vision Pro, meaning that enterprise users won't be able to use Teams or any other Microsoft app. This is a significant oversight by Microsoft.

Are the persona functions covered by the Teams Avatar licensing on the backend of services?
