Although Teams town hall is good in many ways, there are still a lot of broken and strange interactions. For example:
- When you join an MTR as one presenter it crops the edges as in your screenshot above. This cuts off people sitting on the left and right side. In the preview in Town Hall as a producer you see everyone but on the attendee side you see no one.
- The interface does not allow bulk import using any delimiter. You could do with supporting semi-colon or adding a csv import button. Using DLs/Groups are not an option in many cases as they are generally restricted in most companies.
- If you add people by using the Outlook invite and then make changes to the Teams TH event such as adding producers, Exchange cancels the meeting for everyone who was forwarded the meeting. Going back the point 2, there is no way for end-users to bulk add/invite users.
- Cannot export Q&A easily. Using eDiscovery seems unreasonable for a feature that is easily accessible in Live Events.
- How the speakers look in the preview and on the attendee sides are different so there is no control on where speakers are. Added the cropping issue, my CEO might be in the smallest window in the corner, my MTR cropped in the other corner, and another presenter alone in a room as the largest viewer. No control.
- Lack of scenes as available in Teams Live Event.
