We just did a test with Town Halls and had a couple issues that seem contrary to what has been described above.
- Polls didn’t work for attendees. They were only shown in Chat and attendees don't have access to Chat - just Q&A.
- Attendees outside Our Organization could not see the presenter's camera – not sure if there is an option Jenny needed to set, but this is perhaps the case on the Share options
- Attendees could not unmute to ask questions. I see from your doc that this is by design. It should be changed so the meeting can be configured to allow/disallow unmuting.
- When publishing the video, Teams emailed a notification that included ALL attendees email address in the CC, thus exposing each attendee’s email to other attendees
- Attendee names outside of Our Organization, did not appear in the Q&A section. We must be able to see names of attendees when answering their questions.
- The resulting Attendee List did not show anyone but the host and speakers
Is this experience expected? If not, where can I get help with this? From our experience, this version of Town Halls seems to be just an early Beta release. Hoping for more ... much more.
