"How did you come up with the idea to NOT include displaying missed calls from call queues that have *no voice mail*?
In Europe, people do not like to use voice mail. Nobody is using voice mail. That is very American it seems. So how long the heck do we all have to wait for this BASIC functionality? Why would you show missed calls only if there is a voicemail?"
I fully agree and that has already been a deal breaker for possibly switching to Teams as PBX. Possibly very much a case of not knowing the markets. Speaking for Germany and surroundings.
Because (pretty much) every other PBX can do that out of the box!
But not the oh so modern Teams!
And only sort of, kind of, maybe, and ONLY if on top of the PHONE license you spend extra money every month on Premium to get a very important, basic phone function.
Very hard sell.
First step: Have the PHONE license actually offer competitive phone functions, without Premium.
Next: Make group call functionality competetive with what classic PBXes already offer.
There exist 3rd party products that allow people to see missed group/queue calls in real time but those all cost extra.
Very hard to argue that this is better than a "normal" PBX.
"Hint: you *do* display missed calls without voice mail from call queues in the Teams App for iPhone. But not on Desktop, and not on Android.
And on iPhone, also only if Conference Mode is activated.
But Conference mode activated breaks the contact name lookup on Teams for Android. The contact numbers are shown instead of the names synced/stored in the outlook contacts. It works if Conference mode is deactivated."
I did not even know that…
Definitely a mess.
It NEEDS to better WITHOUT Premium license, otherwise Teams can telephony-wise NOT comepete with other systems.
Telephony today and for years already is more than just making and getting calls.
