This new change is absolutely horrible. I’m the owner of a MSP (technology, consulting) company and I am frequently missing messages to me because they don’t show up in the activity log. I have to drill down and go fishing one by one through different chats that have a blue dot next to them in order to find new messages. And then I don’t notice the blue messages sometimes depending on which filter is active showing me chats or teams or only unread or only read, etc. Yes, I am aware that you can turn on various filters but if you are looking at one set of filters, then you miss the other ones and you have to flip back-and-forth whereas before it just showed you what I was interested in one view. This is a major step backwards and he is really hurting my and my teams productivity as my staff are having the same problems basically overlooking new messages that were previously quite obvious and are now often times requiring a few clicks in order to find. And that’s the big message here, we are having to go find new messages rather than just having them clearly and plainly visible.
The disconnect between activity monitor and actual new messages that are inside of chats or teams is a huge problem too. I frequently will have a notification via toast that I know. I just saw a few minutes ago, but when I go to activity monitor, there is no reference to this new message at all anywhere. Once I go drilling down and going on a fishing expedition, I can find the new unread message Inside of a chat or team or wherever it was located.
Major major step backwards, and our clients are all complaining too.
