Ilya Bukshteyn, long time ago we had a moment on PTZ cameras and you suggested me to :
In the meantime, I would encourage you to try some of the new cameras which autoframe / auto PTZ without needing a remote. The Logitech Meetup has this capability now, and Logitech is bringing that to their Rally very soon. The Polycom Studio and Crestron Flex cameras (Huddly IQ and Huddly in the Crestron soundbar) also all have this capability.
Right, so now I have seen the PTZ camera and it is awesome well integrated and simple to use.
BUT I've seen it only on Yealink systems. So I investigated a but furthered and I noticed, that the different MTR we have (and deploy at our customers) may not run the same application version and then do not have exactly the same interface. I am very suprised of this. I thought first, that I had to run some Windows updates or store updates but nothing changed.
The build is Always the same as 4.0.85.0 but I have different versions from Yealink (version 6), Lenovo (version 5) and APP from store (version 1-) (I did not check yet on Logitech but the consequence is that the interface is slightly different. For exemple, no control for camera on Lenovo; switch screen is double Arrow on yealink and a button on Lenovo. Functionalities in call may be different as well.
Please see my point : as we deploy MTRs at customers', we need to deliver an adoption / training program. I need it to get it simple and workable on ANY brand. Doing Screenshots of the interface is not possible from any device of course so I runned on third computer the SRS APP from the Windows store. And again, it is different from the others. So screenshots are not good for adoption and training of my customers!!
My 2 questions :
The SRS UI shouldn't be the same on any device ? How to get it identical ?
What is the real process to update the SRS APP on theses devices ? I have Always heard that Windows update was THE way.
Thanks,
Cecile
