Hi RajaBoopathy ,
Updating your MTRoA devices, such as the Poly studio X series, is (and always has) best done using the TAC.
You are correct stating the devices can be updated using the Poly servers or the Poly Lens cloud management platform, but sometimes these updates are meant for Ecosystems and not for Teams.
In the TAC, the updates that are relevant for your Teams device will be reflected, and others will not. In other words, using the TAC for updates means fewer updates and only relevant ones.
Also, through TAC you may see and install app-updates. These are the updates that will bring the new MSFT teams features to your device. In general a new Firmware will contain the latest teams app version, but that is not always the case. It is also possible Microsoft releases newer app versions independently.
All in all, TAC is the way to keep your device healthy.
If I read the message center notification you've shared (thanks for sharing BTW, I missed it in Message Center) correctly, it talks about a temporary pause. For Poly devices, the latest released was the 3.14.2.
I'm sure the temporary pause MSFT is talking abut is just that, a temporary thing, so if i were you i would not worry.
If you insist on keeping your devices to the latest version, regardless of TAC and without limiting yourself to the teams relevant versions, i would suggest linking your device to the Poly Lens tenant in the cloud.
Hope this helps!
