the direct guest join feature is part of msft update#2.
this is a teams-app only update (which means it does not require a firmware update).
however, it does require 1 prerequidite, and that is the presence on the device of update#1.
without U#1, U#2 will not present itself.
Update#1 is part of firmware 3.10 or 3.11
In summary:
if your device runs firmware 3.9, you need to update the firmware to 3.10 or 3.11, then the teams app update will present itself in TAC.
If your device is already on 3.10 or 3.11, the update will present itself.
Later in june, we (poly) will release firmware 3.12 which will contsin update 2.
One tip: remember to update the app from TAC for both studio x AND TC8. Both mudt be done.
the auto update is a msft TAC feature. In my experience, whenever auto update fails, it usually means some of the telemetry ports (optional) are not communicating to TAC correctly. Do you confirm the use of a Firewall, and if do could you try on annopen network?
