Hi,
I have one proposal for Room System initialization (after reboot).
I hit to this issue when I was trying to find the correct combination for mic and speakers from remotely. Which is not made too easy. At the moment it seems to be easiest to find the rows contains "Adding new device" from the latest SkypeRoom-Init.* file under "tracing" folder. The GWMI advice in "Remote Management with PS" is in my mind a bit outdated.
The confuses start when you are applying a new XML file into device and then reboot the device. The first lines what appears to the Skype-Init- file are for example followings:
. . . LVL_INFO . . . GetSetting] Value of AudioCaptureCommunicationsDevice = Shure P300-IMX Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Shure P300-IMX)
. . . LVL_INFO . . . GetSetting] Value of AudioRenderCommunicationsDevice = Shure P300-IMX Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Shure P300-IMX)
. . . LVL_INFO . . . GetSetting] Value of AudioRenderDefaultDevice = Shure P300-IMX Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Shure P300-IMX)
But these are not actually the values which are taken in use. Later on the log you could found the line;
LVL_INFO . . . Parameters = SkypeSettings.xml True
And then the device starts applying the new configurations.
Question is, why the device should write these "incorrect" logs at all, if it is already knows there is a new configuration XML.
