I'm having trouble with the transcript exports.
Until recently there were two VTT formats provided: an XML-based one when you downloaded the VTT file directly from Teams;
WEBVTT
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:03.280
<v Weir, Charles>Testing 123.</v>
and another format when you downloaded it from SharePoint:
WEBVTT
90104690-c227-4ad4-b42d-90397f9907d7/5-0
00:00:03.185 --> 00:00:03.295
The.
The latter was much less useful as it didn't have speaker names.
New Teams has removed the first format; it was accessible from Teams Web until this past weekend, but has gone altogether now.
Last month when I signed up for Premium, the SharePoint download started giving speaker names (and 'Speaker recognition' was hyped as part of the 'package'):
WEBVTT
fbbdef90-042d-4d6b-86d5-8c9c38e7021c/9-0
00:00:06.620 --> 00:00:09.900
<v Charles>I'm 10123.</v>
But this week even that has gone, and the only option with names (whether premium or not) seems to be the docx format, which only gives timestamps when the speaker changes.
What has happened to the promises of 'speaker identification' in the transcripts, please?
