MargiDesai & Microsoft Product Team: I was finally able to get the Teams Premium trial added to my users. TBH - none of the features you advertised even work yet and Trials need to be extended throughout the rest of Q1-Q2 2023 until we start seeing these features light up and have time to validate their usefulness. Also, for Education, Non-Profit, and Government: These features should remain included in the included Teams license that come with an A1, A3, A5, Business Premium (non-profit), E3 (non-profit), E5 (non-profit), G3, and G5. I understand maximizing subscription on Commerical Tenants but people around the world rely on your services and my team and I would ask that you do not put a paywall in front of critical intelligence and accessibility features for our public institutions. Also, Teams Premium should be included in Commercial E5 by default. We are already paying $57.50 (USD)/user/month. Asking more than that for these very simple features is borderline offensive.
Features that do not work as advertised yet:
- Intelligent meeting recap - just does not exist.
- Custom Meeting Lobby Branding - just does not exist.
- Org-wide Backgrounds for Teams Meetings - users should not be responsible for resizing images. The upload wizard should make these adjustments for the user. Microsoft needs to take ownership of this workflow to be able to charge - this would be in parody with competing products.
- Stream recording timestamps - just does not exist.
- Virtual appointments app within Teams (seems to only be tailored to healthcare and non-customizable). This needs to be improved before you charge for it.
- Functional Example: Attendee status is not accurate and needs to be fixed.
- Functional Example: The URL for the portal in browser actually has "healthcare" in the URL.
- Functional Example: The Virtual Appointments app is telling me I have ZERO Total EHR (Electronic Health Record) appointments. I am not a hospital...
- The Windows 10/11 Teams Desktop app is terrible and requires constant restarts. Please turn this into a native web app and release it with all features prior to adding an additional subscription to the service.
- More Importantly: The Native Windows 11 version of Chat needs to support Work/School accounts prior to the release (and subscription charge) of Teams Premium.
- Watermark Meetings - The ability to add a watermark is great, but limiting the ability for the hosting organization to record that meeting with a watermark applied does not make sense. The entire point of "watermarking a meeting" is to make it a "meeting of record"... Stream needs better support for watermarked meetings prior to a subscription charge.
I love Teams and I love Microsoft (#Fanboy), but I remember hearing Microsoft profess that the company's mission was to "democratize technology for all". I hope this still rings true and plans will be reconsidered. I would be happy to chat with anyone who wants to sync up on this feedback.
