Announcing general availability of the new Microsoft Teams app for virtual desktop infrastructure

We install New Teams with the latest MSIX file as a local admin.

When a user signs into the VDI, he/she sees that there is an "Update."

If a user clicks "Update," Teams closes and does not automatically reopen.  On manual re-launch, Teams is still on the same version.

We do block New Teams updates. 

Location: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Teams

Name: disableAutoUpdate

Type: DWORD

Value: 1

So New Teams should not update itself or respond to user updates, which appears to be working.

My question is why does New Teams report that it needs an "Update" when installed New Teams using the latest installer?
