Yes. I am also facing the same issue with my hotmail.com account in Outlook web and the desktop client. I have a paid subscription, so I raised a support ticket. After many remote sessions, the team said it would be fixed in 48 hours. It has been four months. I still see over ten thousand contacts, each one duplicated thousands of times. These show up only in the classic contacts view. I finally gave up.
I request the Microsoft product teams to treat users, especially power users as capable of handling complexity. Please give us full control over managing our own data. I have been using for decades and like Windows and Office, but it is disappointing to see useful features slowly removed. A simple example, I still cannot select thousands of emails or contacts in Outlook on the desktop and mark them read or unread or delete them. Instead, we are pushed to AI agents for basic tasks. Even Outlook from the Windows 3.1 days handled bulk actions better.
