I can create a new contact in many ways:
(1) Outlook Web App (Old Contacts) https://outlook.office365.com/people/
(2) Outlook Web App (New Contacts) https://outlook.office365.com/people/
(3) Outlook Desktop App - Mail - Address Book - File - New Entry
(4) Outlook Desktop App - People - New Contact
(5) Teams (Work or School) - People - Add Contact (Button)
If I create a New Contact in:
(2) Outlook Web App (New Contacts) - It is not updated in (3), (4) and (5)
(3) Outlook Desktop App - Mail - It is not updated in (5)
(4) Outlook Desktop App - People - It is not updated in (5)
(5) Teams (Work or School) and delete it (1), (2), (3) or (4), it is not update in (5) Teams (Work or School)
I can synch a google address book without any issues to any web app (e.g. chrome), desktop ap (e.g. Mozilla Thunderbird) and any mobile app (e.g. apple contacts, thunderbird, etc.)
Microsoft isn't even capably of synchronizing contacts with their own apps.
Please go back to the drawing board and keep things simple and efficient.
