Hi, Insiders! I’m Rob Nunez, a Product Marketing Manager on the Microsoft 365 team. This month’s SharePoint Showcase series highlights our biggest announcements from Microsoft Ignite and how SharePoint is powering Copilot experiences, intelligent content services, and collaboration at scale.

The AI + SharePoint advantage

We’re excited to introduce a wave of new capabilities that help you and your team surface rich insights from your enterprise data and unlock new levels of productivity:

  • Structured metadata understanding: Copilot can reason over SharePoint metadata to deliver answers that are more complete, relevant, and tailored to business needs. Populating your SharePoint document libraries with metadata is also simpler with the help of Knowledge Agent – just use the Organize this library feature to enrich and structure your files with minimal effort.

Availability: Rolling out to general availability.

  • Comprehensive content reasoning: Copilot can analyze both text and images in PowerPoint presentations, SharePoint site pages, and encrypted files, ensuring responses reflect the full spectrum of organizational knowledge. Just ask Copilot about any image stored on SharePoint and get instant, accurate results.

Availability: Generally available.

  • Instant answers from Microsoft Lists data: The Knowledge Agent’s Ask a question feature enables you to query list data using everyday language and surface relevant answers – without the need to manually sort, filter, or build complex views.

Availability: Rolling out to Microsoft Lists in public preview.

  • On-demand page and list creation: You can create SharePoint pages and lists directly from Microsoft 365 Copilot by typing @SharePoint list/page agent. For example, “@SharePoint list agent create a list of my top-selling products by geography based on the table in /[document].”

Availability: Available in the Frontier program.

  • Improvements to the SharePoint FAQ web part: To keep your FAQs accurate, engaging, and up-to-date, we’ve released several updates, including:
    • On-demand update suggestions based on changes in reference files or new visitor questions
    • The ability to bring in your existing FAQ content with simple copy-and-paste
    • The ability to share direct links to specific questions and answers so visitors find exactly what they need faster

We hope these enhancements deliver greater impact across your organization! You can learn more in the full SharePoint Showcase blog.
