Create on-brand presentations using templates with Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint

Hi, Microsoft 365 Insiders! We’re Monojeet Sinha, a Senior Product Manager, and Amya Rai, a Product Designer, on the PowerPoint team. We’re excited to share that we’ve made it easier for enterprise customers to create on-brand presentations by leveraging both templates and Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint for Windows, for Mac, and for the web.

Create on-brand presentations using templates with Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint

We heard from many of you that having Microsoft 365 Copilot create high-quality slides that match your organization’s branding and content was a top priority. In addition to enhancements to Copilot’s template support, we’re introducing the ability to select a template from your organization assets library (learn more about setting this up) to inform how Copilot creates presentations for you. Now, no matter the type of deck, you can ensure it aligns with your brand’s image and makes a lasting impression, and you’ll save time refining format, design, and your message!

NOTE: If your organization doesn’t have templates stored in an assets library, you can leverage any of our premade templates designed for creating polished and professional presentations.

How it works

1. Open a new or existing presentation in PowerPoint for Windows or for Mac, or navigate to PowerPoint for the web.
2. Select the Copilot icon, and then select Create a presentation.
3. Under Presentation design, select the Change design button. NOTE: If you don’t change the design, Copilot will use the theme of your current presentation, and in the case of a default presentation, choose a theme best suited to your prompt.
4. Select Your organization to browse through available company templates, or select Microsoft 365 to browse through a selection of templates optimized for Copilot, and then click the Select design button. NOTE: The Your organization tab will only be available if your company has an organization assets library set up.
5. Either write in a Copilot prompt or choose a file to turn into a presentation.

Copilot will take your template and prompt and create a presentation that’s on-brand and incorporates your suggestions!

Availability

This feature is available to all Insiders running PowerPoint for Windows and PowerPoint for Mac, and rolling out to PowerPoint for the web users, with an Enterprise Copilot license (learn more about licenses for businesses).

Sometimes, we remove elements to further improve them based on your feedback.
