A modernized comments experience for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on iPhone
The updated Comments pane experience improves the clarity and usability of mobile commenting by making comment threads easier to find, read, and act on. With a more modern, streamlined user interface, you can more quickly understand what needs your attention, respond quickly, and stay engaged in collaboration as you review your files on the go.
How it works
Open a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file on your iPhone. Tap on any comment icon in your file or on the Review tab to access the new Comments pane. In Word and PowerPoint, you can also access Comments through the bottom task bar.
Availability
The new Comments experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for iOS is rolling out to iPhone users running Version 2.106 (Build 26022013).
We will continue rolling out improvements to the commenting experience in the following months, with features like filters, a new drafting sheet, and a new way to add comments from an empty state.
