I agree with the comments by mistaPeeta​ and klein585​ above - will there be any response to these relevant and valid questions? 

We need to enable external customer-developers to self-service their access to our APIs. In our case, we have many hundreds of potential external customers who will consume our APIs and managing this without self-service facilities will be problematic, to say the least.

Please provide an update on these queries.
