We’re excited to announce a significant update to the PL-300 course on June 27. As part of our ongoing effort to streamline and modernize the learning experience, PL-300 will be renamed to “Design and Manage Analytics Solutions Using Power BI.”
This update reflects not just a title change, but a comprehensive refresh across Microsoft Learn, courseware, and labs to ensure alignment and consistency across platforms.

- Course Introduction
- Discover data analysis (Updated)
- Get started with Microsoft Power BI (Updated)
- Introduction to end-to-end analytics using Microsoft Fabric (Moved and updated)
- Get data in Power BI (Updated)
- Clean, transform, and load data in Power BI (Updated)
- Configure a semantic model (Updated and renamed from “Design”)
🧠 Day 2 – Approx. 6 hours
- Write DAX formulas for Power BI (New)
- Create DAX calculations (New – combined content)
- Modify DAX filter context (New with lab)
- Use DAX time intelligence functions (Updated, lab revised)
- Create visual calculations in Power BI Desktop (Updated)
- Design Power BI reports (Updated)
🚀 Day 3 – Approx. 6.25 hours
- Enhance Power BI report designs for the user experience (Updated)
- Perform analytics in Power BI (Updated)
- Optimize a model for performance in Power BI (Moved and updated – optional)
- Manage workspaces in the Power BI service (New – replaces “Create and manage”)
- Manage semantic models in Power BI (Updated)
- Choose a content distribution method (New)
- Create dashboards (Removed)
- Secure data access in Power BI (Updated and renamed from “Row-level security”)
- Create interactive reports using Copilot for Power BI (Updated)
