We are pleased to announce the enhancement of our skilling initiatives, offering greater clarity and growth opportunities for our learners.

Following the release of AI-3018, we have refined our approach to better address learners needs. Our roadmap now includes distinct courses for business users, executive learners, and leaders in enterprise-scale Copilot extensibility. This targeted content allows Commercial Skilling and TSPs to more effectively position these courses with customers.

The rapid evolution of AI transformation and Copilot adoption necessitates significant updates to our Copilot and extensibility courses.  We plan to integrate key elements from AI-3018 into the current MS-4014 course, with a major update scheduled for release by the end of March. A potential renaming of the course will be considered to reflect its updated content. We will keep you updated.

This evolution underscores our commitment to enhancing skills and capabilities, paving the way for a more streamlined and effective approach to professional development.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,

Worldwide Learning -- Learning Lab Team

Also the MS-4014 will be reduced from a one day course to a two hour variant. So the added value of that course is reduced in a significant way for an ILT delivery.

  • Mindy_RosenthalAccording to the April Courseware Title Plan the MS-4014 update has been pushed out to the end of May. How does that impact AI-3018 retirement?

      Hi Vitaly

AI-3018 will retire as of today. 4/30 -- the content is outdated and cannot be extended past the retirement to still deliver. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. MS-4014 is delayed due to some constraints. Stay tuned, if the Trainer assets are ready earlier, they will certainly be uploaded to the LDC.

Thanks for your patience on this.

Yes, so that creates a challenge because there is a one-month gap where we don't really have in-market courseware that fulfills this Copilot set of learning goals.

The content in the current MS-4014 is just as outdated/current as the current AI-3018 ... they were last updated within the same timeframe, in December 2024 and January 2025.

I am delivering this topic on May 6th. AI-3018 cannot be used because it's out of market. And we do not have the new replacement MS-4014 yet. Hence the dilemma.

I think retirement timeframes should be very carefully synchronized with replacement timeframes. Microsoft courseware folks are usually doing it quite well, so it's puzzling what happened in this particular instance.
