PL-200 is being retired and replaced by AB-410 to reflect how the Power Platform role has evolved in an AI‑first world. While PL-200 focused on building traditional low-code solutions, AB-410 (Build intelligent applications) modernizes that role by emphasizing AI-powered app development, Copilot-driven experiences, and agent‑first solution design. The new course is aligned to updated job task analysis and real-world expectations, ensuring learners are validated on the skills needed to build intelligent, AI‑enabled business applications with Power Platform today.

The MB‑280 series is being retired and replaced by AB‑210 to better align with the modern, AI‑driven Dynamics 365 Sales role. MB‑280 covered a broad Customer Experience scope, including Customer Insights, but AB‑210 (Accelerate sales pipelines with AI in Dynamics 365) is intentionally Sales‑focused, emphasizing AI, Copilot, and agent‑assisted workflows used by sellers and sales administrators today. While Customer Insights is no longer part of the certification exam scope, Microsoft will continue to offer self‑paced online training for Customer Insights and is planning a new set of Applied Skills to validate hands‑on expertise in that area independently.
