On October 14, 2024, the Paraguay government made an official announcement that Paraguay will permanently stay in Daylight Saving Time (DST) or UTC-3.
The impact of this change is as follows:
- Clocks will not advance by 60 minutes at 12:00 AM on March 23, 2025, for the Paraguay time zone.
- Paraguay will permanently stay at UTC-3 and will be referred to as Paraguay Time (PYT) all year.
