SonofLS - thank you for the feedback. The new price for storage reflects the great value it delivers via. the distributed storage architecture, automatic scaling, and high-performance caching. Based on experiences with real customer workloads and with synthetic benchmarks, we find that the performance of the Hyperscale storage is extremely high - in most cases better than similar offerings in the market. These changes do not impact the Hyperscale backup storage rates.

The pricing calculator does provide sections to estimate the costs associated with PITR backups based on the total estimated size of those backups. In turn, you can get the estimated size of backups for the configured retention period by using the backup size metrics provided in the portal and via. the usage API. The pricing calculator also provides direct estimates for LTR backup costs, based on the LTR backup policy set.
