Explore how Microsoft and AMD are accelerating HPC and AI innovation at the HPC Roundtable 2025 in Turin.
On September 30th, the city of Turin will host the HPC Roundtable 2025, a premier gathering of leaders and innovators in high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure. Organized by DoITNow, the event will bring together experts from across industries to discuss how cloud-native HPC and AI infrastructure is transforming engineering, simulation, and intelligent workloads. Microsoft, together with AMD, will be participating with a strong presence, contributing to both technical and strategic conversations throughout the day.
Featured Session: “Driving Innovation – Polestar’s CAE Environment Journey with Microsoft Azure High Performance Computing (HPC)”
A key highlight of the agenda will be the session titled “Driving Innovation – Polestar’s CAE Environment Journey with Microsoft Azure High Performance Computing (HPC)”, presented by Peter Lee from Polestar. This session will explore how Polestar is modernizing its Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) workflows by adopting cloud-native HPC infrastructure.
Polestar’s journey reflects the industry shift from traditional on-premises systems to a scalable, agile environment powered by AMD-based Microsoft Azure HB-series virtual machines and Azure Managed Lustre, enabling high-throughput parallel storage for simulation workloads. This transformation is helping accelerate product development while optimizing performance and cost.
Attendees will gain insights into how cloud HPC is enabling innovation in automotive engineering and how Polestar is leveraging Microsoft Azure to drive agility and scale.
Roundtable: Accelerating Intelligence with HPC and AI
Later in the day, Microsoft’s Wolfgang De Salvador, Product Manager of Azure Managed Lustre, will join the panel discussion “Accelerating Intelligence with HPC and AI,” where thought leaders will explore the convergence of simulation and machine learning, the evolution of hybrid compute environments, and the future of intelligent orchestration. This roundtable promises to be a forward-looking conversation on how organizations are reimagining their HPC strategies to support both engineering and AI workloads.
