For your question installing the latest x64 ODBC driver should be sufficient Download ODBC Driver for SQL Server - ODBC Driver for SQL Server | Microsoft Docs

I just tested in a vanilla Windows and by installing the most recent package, the latest version of ADAL is deployed.
