Announcing Public Preview of the SAP CDC solution in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics

I have two questions and I really appreciate the possibles answers. A customer with SAP base and Azure solutions for get information, is using actually for the developments of pipelines the new connector SAP CDC. We start development the pipeline using Synapse Analytics as a sink, however they request to us migrate the model to Delta Lake. What is the best approach to use Synapse or Delta Lake for SAP customer?
Some people told me that Delta Lake is the roadmap of Microsoft to analyze information, but I don't have official information about it. Does Microsoft have and official products road map information?
