Access begins rollout of Big Forms for Modern Monitors feature

For more than two decades, Microsoft Access forms have been constrained by a design limitation dating back to an era when most users worked on small CRT monitors. Today, that limitation is finally being removed. We're rolling out this feature to our Current Channel preview customers in Version 2607.

Huzzah! This is a great day to be an Access developer.

Removing the old 22-inch form limit has been on many of our wish lists for years. It's great to see the Access team continuing to invest in the product and modernize it for today's hardware instead of leaving us stuck with limitations from the CRT monitor era. I've got several databases that I need to make wider because I’ve got a giant monitor on my desk and these little teeny tiny Access forms. LOL.

Thanks to everyone on the Access team for listening to the community and making this happen. I can't wait to start experimenting with it!
