12 Topics[SOLVED] The Pause/Resume button in the Windows 10's lock screen doesn't work when playing YT video
UPDATE: Solved in Version 77.0.188.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) Version 76.0.182.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) in Windows 10, go to YouTube, play a video in the new Microsoft Edge Canary, then press Windows button + L, to lock the user account. there will be a small area at the bottom right corner of the lock screen showing the YouTube video being played in the background and gives you the option to pause/resume or next/previous, the usual controls. in this Edge version the pause/resume button doesn't work. doing the same thing in Chrome 76 and now chrome 77 (both canary), works fine.Solved23KViews3likes6CommentsVideo Super Resolution Missing Options in Setting
Enhance videos in Microsoft Edge (Flag: #edge-video-super-resolution) is missing critical options in setting, making it impossible to function properly. In Version 136.0.3240.29 (Official build) beta (64-bit), as well as the previous beta build, it is missing the option to choose from three methods of video enhancement, as shown in screenshot. Here is the setting from latest beta build: This is how it is supposed to look: Thus, beta build defaults to Microsoft Super Resolution and I can't find a way to use graphics driver enhancement like RTX Super Resolution, which is critical to my experience. Also, HDR is no longer supported when video enhancement is enabled, which I believe is a limitation of Microsoft Super Resolution.Solved7.8KViews23likes24CommentsYouTube is Broken [Getting Served a very old version of the Site]
I'm getting this really old ugly UI. Going to youtube.com/new tells me that my browser is not supported. ................................................ For a workaround follow this guide I found and switch the user agent to Chrome - Windows and reload the page. https://winaero.com/blog/change-user-agent-chrome/7.2KViews8likes11CommentsYouTube Video Stutter when playing simultaniously
Having issues with YouTube video stuttering and freezing when playing multiple videos at the same time. This does not affect audio playing, so the video is still streaming, but when ever another youtube video plays in another window at the same time the one currently playing will freeze. This also happens in InPrivate windows. Been happening for a number of months. This does not happening when playing one in Chrome and the other in Edge. Are there any currently know issues or fixes for this problem? ISSUE There is an issue in the Edge 116 stable-release with some YouTube videos. Some videos that used to play without-issue in the 115 release no-longer work in the 116 release: the audio on such videos will play, but not the video. Even most adverts on YouTube are affected! Here is an example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nydwk87iEuM ("5 Monster Waves Caught On Camera" by "Underworld") Here you can see that video in the latest Edge and Firefox browsers: CODEC AND APP-VERSION INFO The "stats for nerds" YouTube feature reports the following codecs for that video: Edge: av01.0.04M.08 (397) / opus (251) Firefox: av01.0.01M.08 (396) / opus (251) And I am using the following software-versions: Edge: 116.0.1938.62 (Official build) (64-bit) Firefox: 117.0 (non-ESR) x64 Windows: 10 Home 22H2 x64 (Build 19045.3324) TROUBLESHOOTING I have already tried turning "Use hardware acceleration when available" off, and restarting Edge, but it made no-difference. I then turned it back on, but it made no-difference. In edge://flags I have tried turning "Hardware-accelerated video decode" to Disabled, but it made no-difference. Neither did changing "Choose ANGLE graphics backend" to "D3D9" (which I read on another site to try).5.7KViews2likes9CommentsHDR NOT WORKING ON LATEST EDGE VERSION Version 100.0.1185.36 (Official build) (64-bit) (WINDOWS 11)
No, it's not my pc, or my monitor. HDR enabled video work perfectly on (Windows 11) CHROME, AND OTHER (Windows 11) PC GAMES. IF SOMEONE HAS AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND HOW ARE THEY NOT AWARE? Why is Microsoft so dysfunctional. FIX THIS NOW or I'LL BE GOING BACK TO CHROME! I've noticed for the last couple of weeks I believe that when I play youtube when my machine has just reboot works fine but after a whole day using my pc, after a few times locking and unlocking it the video playback on youtube becomes really choppy. If I launch a chrome instance, it works fine. If I close and open edge the problem still persists, just after restarting the machine it comes back to normal Bear in mind I've an Intel core i7-8700k, and a nvidia RTX 2080ti, so definitely not lack of horsepower.4.2KViews1like18CommentsFlickering, Black Screen, Taskbar, YouTube Bugs and more at my new Spectre X360 13"
Three months ago I purchased the HP Spectre X360 13" , i7 , 16gb RAM, 512 SSD and since then I have been experiencing some certain screen bugs, especially when the laptop stays on for several hours. 1) Flickering, Black Screen, Freeze and Breaking: It always starts with intense flickering and cracking of the screen (i.e. distorted letters and numbers), then the screen freezes for seconds and the display gets filled with horizontal lines of the headers of the current open windows. As I move the cursor this becomes more and more frequent, while when I use two fingers on the mousepad the screen turns black. 2) No Taskbar: Another thing that I have experienced in the past is the headers of the current open windows to appear both on the top and at the bottom of the screen replacing the window's task bar, which also happens for some seconds. 3) YouTube Bugs: While viewing some videos on YouTube I have experienced a) The video image "running" to the left of the screen like it has been on a spinning wheel. b) When shifting to full-screen mode the video image remaining at small size, c) half the video image being on display as if it could not load the whole picture1.4KViews0likes0Comments
