Connection Refused at TCP/IP Level
Guys, i have a web application running on Windows 2025. Occasionally, the application experiences bursts of over 500 simultaneous connections. Even though, the server showing less than 10% CPU utilization and about 75% of RAM still available, I am encountering "connection refused" errors. I can see Windows Performance counter TCPv4 / Connection Failures change when this happens. There is no antivirus deployed during my test, and Windows defender is off. i have seen similar issues on Windows 2019 and 2022 also. I suspected SynAttack detection, but the TCP diagnostic counters for SynAttack detection dont know any values. It appears to me that there is some Windows OS limitation that causes this issue. I think it is time to revive the Windows Research Kernel! We need the community to be able to understand what is going on without letting everything out of the bag. The last version available was v1.2 which was based off of the kernel for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 SP2. We need a modern release for development, education, and security research. Hi there, After updating to Windows 10 Home 22H2, it is presenting an annoying problem ("Bug") with the update of the desktop icons. I use my laptop to do RENDER and CAD work and during the day after a continuous use of the video graphics the icons on the desktop start to lose their names, to lock, (they do not allow access to the right mouse button) to change position after refreshing the screen and multiplying as ghosts. In the same way, if I refresh the screen more than three times with the right mouse button, the icons adopt the anomalies described above. I have a good laptop: Dell G5 (for gaming), Intel i7 8th gen, 32 ram, Nvidia RTX 2060 6gb, Disk SSD Nvme M2 500gb + SSD sata 1000gb, 144hz display (or 240Hz external display). I'm pretty sure it's a Windows problem. I have created new user accounts and it doesn't work. Currently I am using the Rebuild Icon Cached as temporary solution, (I have to use it with script to repair during the day, but it is not normal). Hello, i am using Visual Studio 2022 Professional edition, and setup a HyperVM machine to debug my kernel driver that i am developing. After provisioning the installation for kernel debug via the VS VM configuration. For a limited time everything works, but when i restart the VM, my os is waiting for me to login / choose a user account to log in. I couldn't find any way to correctly configure it to always logon as WDKremoteUser without asking me for a password, that i don't know and cant find anywhere. Any thought appreciated, on how to fix this. Thank you.
