9 TopicsRouting number incorrect
I am having a problem with one user in the organization. When this user types in an external number in the team's telephony e.g. 07******** it will then dial how the call will not connect, it says "Sorry but your call cannot be completed". If I look at the outgoing number on recent, when the number is called it comes dials +107********* which is wrong. It should change the 0 too +44 which is how it works with other users. I tested this by typing the number manually e.g. +44******** and then this rang sucusessfully, what change do I need to make to stop it from adding a +1 before but instead to change the 0 to +44? See below, 11:45 was manually entered and worked, 11:56 was entered with 07 but failed.1.5KViews0likes1CommentMicrosoft Business Voice Trial 25 licenses too many for us but can't reduce the number
We have trialled Microsoft Business Voice and I'm planning to purchase on the current deal in uk before end June which is for £9 per user pm. If I purchase this subscription, can I keep our telephone numbers from the trial. The trial has 25 licenses and I can't reduce this number to the 2 we need. (we're a small not for profit). I want to be sure if I extend the trial and automatically allow purchase after expiry I will only pay for the 2 licenses we need (we're a small not for profit in uk) Any help appreciated - first time of posting.Solved1.5KViews2likes2CommentsAvaya Session Border Controllers Certified for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing Non Media Bypass
After Cisco Cube/Voice Gateway/SBC was certified for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing its now another vendor which has been certified for Teams Direct Routing Services. Avaya SBC are now certified for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing enabling the organization who are using the Avaya SBC to interop with the PSTN Integration with Microsoft Teams. Currently SBC Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise (ASBCE) with the Release 8.1.1 version is Certified for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing. This will only support the Non-Media-Bypass Test Cases for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing. Microsoft Roadmap reference 66465 Reference: - All the SBC Certified for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing List here. With Regards, Satish U8KViews1like1CommentDirect Routing or O365 Phone System
Hi All - been looking at introducing calling ability via MS Teams however unsure of the advantages of Direct Routing as apposed to simply buying the Phone System Add-on's or rather O365 Business Voice? Having Telephony purely cloud based surely results in removal of any on-premise telephony solution - so why bother with Direct Routing but it seems to be the rage at the moment from what I've read etc... Would welcome any thoughts on this - I can understand that there're many factors to consider like calling plans and investment in kit on-premise - in which case is DR simply a bridge to Cloud PBX? Thanks.Solved1.6KViews0likes1CommentTEAMs Voice Latest Features
Is there anywhere that gives updates specific to TEAMs voice new features? (voice specific as we have a separate server and voice team, so the majority of TEAMs related topics are not applicable to us in the voice team) Each time i login to the admin centre there seems to be new things added/changes, which unless i happen to see them onscreen, im not aware of; most recently call queues being able to divert to voicemail. this is one we have been waiting for but i only just stumbled across it when logged into the admin centre and checking an existing CQ setup. Wish there was something on the admin centre which would give info regarding latest features added/amended without having to search outside of the admin centre for this info...or even a link to the latest features/changes so we remember to check every now and then.Solved1.5KViews2likes2CommentsMedia Optimization for Direct Routing: Failover of ProxySBC for PSTNGateway
We are currently building Direct Routing voice infra for MS Teams with Media Optimization and Always Bypass mode using Audiocodes SBCs. Aim is to have two centralized ProxySBCs, primary and standby, shared over many PSTNGateways. When we define PSTN Gateway and Virtual Network Topology in Teams we can only define a single ProxySBC parameter for each PSTNGateway: PS C:\> Set-CsOnlinePSTNGateway -Identity <Identity> -GatewaySiteID <site ID> -MediaBypass <true/false> -BypassMode <Always/OnlyForLocalUsers> -ProxySBC <proxy SBC FQDN or $null> We would like to define geographical failover strategy for Calls to use standby ProxySBC. Are you aware about any possible option to achieve automatic ProxySBC failover? Options that comes to my mind, we could: Duplicate PSTNGateways once with Primary ProxySBC and second with Standby ProxySBC and play with VoicePolicies, but that would involve 2 different FQDNs and 2 Certificates for 1 same thing. Do Manual failover to Standby ProxySBC with a script but that misses automation. Build HA Pair but that's not available in two geographical different locations in our environment. Any option I overlooked how Microsoft plan ProxySBC failover? Any comments greatly appreciated.1.6KViews0likes0CommentsCommunication Credit Allocation
Hello All, We have a pool of users set up with Domestic and International Call Plans. However there are certain numbers they cannot dial, for example a National Rate non-geographical number isn't supported within the Call Plan. So for these 'special' numbers we need to provide 'Communication Credits'. The trouble is I think 'Communication Credits' can only be allocated at a Tenant Level. Ideally we'd want to bill our individual legal entities with what they have consumed. I'm not aware of any way to do this. I'm not even sure if the 'PSTN Usage' report can be run on a schedule (e.g. via Graph / Powershell), to provide reporting for this. Ideally I'd like to be able to cap the 'Communication Credits' spent per user, or maybe a group. And be able to report on spend by individual or group. Does anyone have any ideas?? Thanks LaurenceSolved2.7KViews1like2CommentsTeam/Channel for Deal Desk support
I run a 24x5 Deal Desk team. Similar to support, we have rotating shifts. I currently have a ‘bat-phone’ that rings simultaneously at all team members desk phones like you would with a support team. As we adopt Microsoft Teams more and are starting to move away from Telephony I’d like to implement something similar within Team (so I can rid of telephony completely). I’m unable, however, to setup similar functionality in Teams: How can a random user call into a Channel (or a Team) without being a permanent member of it? Or is the solution perhaps to leverage some App to be connected to Teams via plugin? Thoughts? It sounds like it should be a no brainer to do this in 2019.2.4KViews0likes4CommentsTeams telephony system experience
Hi all! My organization is considering moving from Cisco to Teams telephony system, wanted to check if anyone has done the same change or similar and what was the experience during the migration and also, what is the opinion/differences/benefits now that you are using the Teams telephony system?2KViews0likes3Comments
