Visibility of preview video on embedded player Streams unavailable
Dear readers, Does anyone know how to get a preview of an uploaded video in the player of Streams? When I embed the player on a social media platform, where we're already logged in with our organization account (same account used as the Microsoft products), I can't see a preview of the video. It only shows a big grey player with play button in the middle. When you click on it, it flawlessly plays the video though. Does anyone know how to solve this? Or has any experience with this as well? The platform works perfect with iframe codes, the embed itself doesn't really seem to be the problem. Even though the same organization accounts are used to use both Streams and the platform, is it an authorization problem? I already checked with the social platform and they don't understand why it's not showing a preview. Other than assuming it might have something to do with rights that doesn't work well with each other. Thank you in advance!
Videos saved to streams or onedrive?
Hi, I'm having an issue where some of my clients meetings are being saved to Streams, but others are being saved to OneDrive (which I prefer). I've done some googling but from what I've found, I though Streams was being retired in favour of OneDrive, YET this method is still active in our tenant. Can someone please shed some light? Thanks.
Ms Stream Channel is not appearing in SharePoint Stream Webpart
I have configured multiple channels on my Modern Intranet. Each Stream Web part is working fine till last night. from today morning Channel is not able to load in SharePoint Web-part. Intranet is one live and people is using it. How can i resolve this issue ?
Encoder with MSFT Streams
Hi, Encoder which need to be used with Microsoft Stream are not Proxy aware, so we can not pass Encoder/upload content e.g. from Wirecast towards Microsoft Cloud via Corporate Proxy, Direct Firewall opening will not be permitted due to security concerns. What is the best practice, how to handle this situation to use Encoders; How are other organizations using Encoders
Is Microsoft Stream Public APIs available - I would like to display videos on my sharepoint site
Hi All, I have used the video rest api https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/office/office-365-api/api/video-rest-operations before to display videos on my sharepoint classic page. Is there an equivalent API for stream. We have been told by MS to migrate to stream but need an api to work with. Any ideas if some sort of api exist? Thanks in Advance
Teams and content with conditional access
Hi, We have streams secured with conditional access (location based) and teams without conditional access. This turns the sign in and functionality of teams into total mess. Eg, someone has a conversation in teams where streams content has been posted, If you call the user for a teams call (on mobile) they can answer the call but are then hit with a raft of security warnings and pop ups about restricted content and some users are unable to even get to the call behind all the garbage that the app throws at them. I logged this twice with ms and it was a struggle getting them to understand the problem and both times the end result was being told thats just how it is , the app isnt very good. Has anyone else had to deal with this or know how i can implement something that doesnt just result in a load of error popups? TLDR teams function and login on mobile app is completely wrecked if the user has content within a teams chat from secured service. Removing the conditional access from stream is not acceptable as its there for a specific reason. (if the CA is removed then the teams app works fine)
