3 TopicsConditional Formatting - how to minimize formatting rule duplication with editing
Hi all, I built a spreadsheet for management to track project deliverables, and am running into two issues. I attached a slimmed down version of the spreadsheet for review. 1.The filecontains several conditional formatting rules. When I turn it over for use, the end user has to insert rows in the table at times as new projects come in. I think this is causing the conditional formatting rules to explode. As a result, I have lots of rules that pertain to only one or a few cells, instead of the entire range as initially created. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? 2. The Projected columns contain rather complicated nested formulas for projecting due dates. I've asked the end user to NOT manually enter values into these columns, as it erases my formula, but with little luck. Is there a way to protect the integrity of these cells while allowing the end user to still add/remove rows from the table? Any guidance on these issues is greatly appreciated!! I have a spreadsheet that gives rating to potential recruits. I used a index(match(large, nth))) formula to select recruits from greatest rating to smaller and of course I have duplicate ratings for different recruits. Excell for the first set of duplicate ratings displayed the different recruits, but the second set of duplicate ratings it gave only one recruit for both 10th and 11th position. The third set of duplicate ratings it once again work perfectly, but for the fourth set of duplicate ratings it gave only one recruit for both positions. The formula was created in the first cell and copy to following cells. I have check the formulas in the cells that fail and they are following large(array, nth) properly as well. Currently I have 50 recruits and only 4 sets of duplicates. What is going on?683Views0likes0CommentsCorrupt Files
Hi group, I have a handful of corrupt excel spreadsheets. They are corrupt because these are copies of original files that were over written with old data (reverted to older versions of themselves). Is it possible to repair these files with your experience? I have tried most everything I have found online - If this is possible, it will likely take some sort of deep repair utility or process.1.1KViews0likes1Comment
