shared channel

I can add a Distribution List or Security Group in Teams Channel under "Manage Team" but I can't see or add either if it is a Shared or Private channel under "Share Channel". How so? We really don't want to share the either channel by adding 1000 users. Thank you for your time.Solved3.9KViews0likes3CommentsThere is no channel moderation option for shared channels?
I knew that the shared/private channels are not part of the initial Teams concept, and therefore feel a little bit off, but is there really no option to configure a shared channel with channel moderation and only owners can post messages?!2.6KViews1like2CommentsShared channel does not show every message
Hi, We have a shared channel which is shared with multiple teams. There is a problem with showing some posts in this channel. Some of my users are seeing the post on their mobile app on their phone, but not in the teams app on their laptop/pc. It's not all the posts, just a few of that channel. Is this a known issue?Unable to add guest user in Shared Channel
I've enabled preview to test out the Shared Channel feature, but am unable to add external users. I've followed everything within this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/solutions/collaborate-as-team?view=o365-worldwide, but still get the message "We didn't find any matches. Talk to your IT admin about expanding the scope of your search." I'm able to add guest users to a Team, so not sure why I can't in a Shared Channel. Anyone else having this issue, or have successfully added guests to Shared Channels?Solved44KViews0likes11CommentsCannot tag a shared channel within a non host team.
I have created the shared channel on the host team and shared it with another team I own, the channel shows up and chats can flow between them, however from within other channels on the non host team, I cannot use @ to tag the shared channel. Is this expected or is there some setup needed to be able to tag the shared channel on the non host team? Update: I've found you can tag between shared channels and you can even tag an entire team, as both the Host team and the teams where the channel is shared show up when @'ing. You cant, however, tag a standard / private channel, from a shared channel. Is there some restriction on this? Thanks in advance for any insights on this!1KViews0likes1CommentHow do i integrate SharedChannel in to my existing Application?
When I am in Apps (Apps Store) and try to add my Application with "Add to a team > Set up a tab" I can see existing Private and SharedChannel, but my Application is not getting added to SharedChannel. What do I have to do (Developer Guide)? How would you transition existing external People to SharedChannel?
We are currently having around ~1000x Guest-User (B2B Collab) and would like to switch to Team-Connect (B2B Direct Connect), so they do not have to switch Tenants anymore. Where would you start, after doing all the preparation (Federation) on the Tenant-Level: - Switch them Company by Company / Switch them Team by Team? - Will they still be able to access existing Files, Discussion, Channels? - Where do i have to pay attention?Shared channels and B2B direct connect
With Shared Channels rolling out i'm starting to promote this in my organization as an admin. What i don't understand is why you have to allow b2b direct connect for Shared Channels. This is not necessary when you invite an external member or a guest to a Team as a Teams member. So why is this necessary for only a (shared) channel? Now i run into the problem that counterparts at other companies don't know about these settings in their AAD or they haven't adjusted or are reluctant to change their B2B settings. So inviting their coworkers in a shared channel comes with a lot of explaining to do. Does anybody know why this is?Solved6KViews0likes6Comments
