1 TopicSolution - Microsoft Bookings Calendar Page with Outlook Web Access (OWA) Disabled
Hello, Solution to using Bookings when Outlook Web Access (OWA) is disabled. I'm creating this post because I can't find a discussion, support page, etc. that plainly states that Bookings can be used without OWA enabled, and the process of how to do that. Below is the problem I experienced: Everyone can get to the "client side" of Bookings: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/Email address removed/bookings/ Nobody can get to the "service side" of Bookings as the URL is presented by Microsoft: https://outlook.office365.com/bookings/ or https://outlook.office.com/bookings/ The error message when attempting to access the "service side" is: The mailbox being accessed doesn't have a valid account state ('ProtocolDisabled'). This is due to Outlook Web Access (OWA) being disabled based on organization security policies. OWA is not to be used as a channel for accessing mail within the organization. I figured out that you can form the URL to allow access to the "service side" by using the following: https://outlook.office365.com/bookings/Email address removed/calendar I enabled OWA on my account to create the Bookings portal, configured it to my liking, and then disabled OWA. I hope this is helpful to somebody out there! -John3.6KViews2likes4Comments
