Hi, We currently have a 4000+ device estate on Intune, mainly consisting of Samsung Android Devices. When we migrated our phones to Intune, we deployed Samsung Calendar as a "System App" to "All devices" from inside Intune as Samsung Knox has been set to hide all System Apps. We've now come to a point where we want to remove Samsung Calendar from all phones as the preferred option is to use Calendar from inside the Outlook app. However, we want to remove Samsung Calendar in a phased approach. The first part of this is pretty easy, we've created a removal group and assigned it to exclude devices from "Required" and include it under "Uninstall" - This ensures the devices we put inside the removal group will have Samsung Calendar removed and won't be included as part of "All devices" However, This won't stop new devices enrolling into Intune downloading Samsung Calendar as we've still got the "All devices" option under Required and we don't want to keep putting new devices into the removal group. I'm worried that if I remove "All devices" from the Required section, that it will uninstall Calendar from all existing devices (including the one's we've not put in the removal group yet), which makes our phased approach null and void - is this correct? I can't exactly risk trying it because by the time I find out, it will be too late. Any help and Advice would be great. Thank you.3.1KViews0likes1CommentRemoved useres can read chats of a team
So we removed a user from all of our teams and from the whole organization. Now, about a month later, the person in question admitted to still being able to read all of our chats. Only after logging out, the user could not log in to the organization again and therefore not read the chats anymore. How can you make sure that removed users can no longer read the chats of a team?1.2KViews1like1CommentMicrosoft - Please Stop Removing/Adding Windows Insider Features based on the User's IP Address
Microsoft - Please Stop Removing/Adding Windows Insider Features based on the User's IP Address Location (NOT related to the slow feature rollout) I've been a helpful Windows Insider member since 2015 but recently it's been very annoying to be an Insider. It's been happening since the beginning of Windows 10 Insider 20H1 builds, Here's what happens: When I'm connected to the Internet with my ISP IP Address, I have access to the new features introduced in the latest Windows insider for example the old Cortana is gone and replaced by the New Cortana 2 beta. another example is that in the Calculator app, there is a new small button added called "Keep on top", last example, at the bottom right corner of the Windows (taskbar), when I click on the time and clock, it brings up the Calendar and time and at the bottom of that small window i can add an event or reminder without opening the Calendar app. so these are All new features. Now, If I use a VPN (for whatever personal reason that millions of people use VPNs) - (VPNs like Windscribe, Thunnelbear, or any custom OpenVPN) to connect to other countries like EU east and west, Asia, Middle East etc, those new Windows insider features that I explained above go away, they literally disappear. in the Cortana example, the old Cortana comes back again and the New Cortana 2 beta disappears. in the Calculator example, that little "keep on top" button disappears from the Calculator app. in the Calendar example, that area where user can add reminder or event without opening the Calendar app goes missing and disappears so If i click on the "add reminder or event", it brings up the Calendar app instead. It's super annoying. Please stop doing it. once a user is eligible to receive those new features as part of the slow rollout then let them Have and Keep those new features. Don't remove them when the user connects to a VPN and gets another IP address from another country. It doesn't change Anything. it's STILL THE SAME user, the SAME computer, the SAME PC. there is absolutely NO point in giving those features to the user, then remove them whenever you want, and then give those features back Again when VPN goes off or switches to a certain country. Half of these changes and feature removals/disappearances happen without a computer restart. as if all of these Windows components are fluid and actively controlled by someone else. the Other half of the features such as the Cortana removal do need a system restart. it's really messy.. There is obviously a country restriction here and a blacklist exists on the Microsoft servers, just not sure how big it is. I really need some official answer on this problem. Thank you!
