Restrict Bookings-availabilty for remote workers
Hello Community, our sales-team is using Bookings to arrange appointments with our customers. We set up a booking page where customers can pick a date/time-slot with sales members available. On the booking page we added a custom field (radio button) where the customer can select if he wishes a local appointment at our store, or an appointment by phone. The problem we have is: Members of our sales-team can work remote from home. In this case, they should be only available for appointments by phone, not for local appointments. Is there any way how we can make this scenario work with bookings?
RD Web Client (HTML5) Redirected devices
Hi, I've recently installed the new HTML5 RD Web Client and all is working fine, with the exception of smart card redirection. Our users need to authenticate to a secure website (using RDS) with a smart card. We aren't using smart cards to authenticate to RDS, or the VM. When I connect to the VM through RDS, the options for device redirection are only clipboard and printer, not no smart card. If I download the RDP file and connect through mstsc.exe, the smart card works fine. It's only if I open the remote resource in the web browser the smart card isn't redirected. I've enabled the option on the RDS collection to allow smart card redirection, and it's still not working. Am I missing something, or is smart card redirection not available through the web browser session? Cheers
How to add a remote LAN user to a computer and make an auto-log on to it on windows 10 pro
I have two computers with Windows 10 Pro, let's call my main computer "host" and the secondary computer "potato", ok? On the host, I have two users, one for local use and the other only for when I turn on potato, which accesses the host through this other user. I configured potato to autologon on the user that I have configured on it and to automatically start the remote connection with an .rdp file on the second host user, because I use potato only on remote connection with host. The problem is that every time I turn on the potato, I need to wait for it to go through the entire internal logon process on its user, wait until opens its explorer, wait potato remember to lunch the .rpd file, and only then it makes logon remotely on the host user. What I would like to do is add the second host user directly to potato, so that potato will log on directly to the host user, without having to go through his internal user. And so that the potato user's explorer is not running at the bottom of the MSRDP. I did a lot of research this week, and I had no success in accomplishing that feat. And as far as I can tell, apparently, the only way to make that is with host running Windows Server. So my question is: Is it possible to add this host user remotely to potato using Windows 10 Pro? If this is not possible, would anyone have a better solution on how to make potato a remote access hub (basically a thin client) in a better way? Show device's private IP address and Public IP address next to PC name in Windows Settings => System => Remote Desktop for faster and easier connection and usage. it makes sense to show them next to PC name, because remote desktop apps on other devices such as phones accept those 3 types of methods to find and connect to PC, but in Windows settings only 1 of them is shown. if you want to find the private IP address that DHCP gives you, you have to do extra work and get it from properties of network adapter etc. or to find your public IP address you have to use a 3rd party website or service. so, it all makes sense and makes things easier to have all 3 pieces of information right in the Windows Settings. I've tested this myself and have had other people test it in my presence too, and in different network conditions, having all 3 pieces of information is always useful and necessary for Remote desktop connection. Hi, For a customer I need to add OneDrive for Business to my clients RDS Gateway, due to the software they are using via remote, they need back up files to their work OneDrive, so installing it on the machine locally isnt going to work, we need to add it as an App on the Remote Web Access. Many Institutions are users of Azure Lab Services but many user of MAC OS can’t connect on their own machine, this probably is related to the Fact that .rdp files are not default associated with MAC OS. The Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 app for Mac OS associates rdp files allow student and academics to easily connect to Azure Lab Services.
