[macOS] awful menubar behavior in fullscreen mode
Hi together, I guess I can speak for all macOS Users that we are pissed about the behavior of the menubar when going in fullscreen mode on Edge. Few months ago I thought, I'll just try to ignore it till it gets fixed, but this fix never came and that's why I'm here :D. It's not really a huge problem but the animation just looks rough, the placement of everything looks bootleg and that behavior doesn't make any sense at all, especially because edge is the only mac app that has this problem. (I guess it's just a bug, and nobody made the effort to fix it yet.) I attached images to this thread in case y'all don't know what I'm talking about. btw: I would have no problem to fix it by myself, does microsoft has anything like a community place where you can post code proposals?
Mac Edge Bug Report: Won't Launch when Another User on Mac Hasn't Done Final Install Step
Hi Edge Team, Former Microsoft employee here. First, TERRIFIC product. Great job taking the Chromium engine, adding performance, etc. Thank you for finally bringing sanity to MSFT's browser strategy. BUG: On Mac OSX 11.4 (Big Sur) at least, if another user hasn't done the "first time launch", yet has logged in to the Mac, has say Google Chrome loaded and is dormant, when you switch over to the other user account and try to launch Edge, it freezes and doesn't load at all. You can type things into the URL bar, but it doesn't attempt to load the page. How I noticed this: We have a shared kitchen computer where my wife, kids and I each have different logins. I noticed that frequently when I logged in to my account on this shared machine, launched Edge on it, that it was nonresponsive. I'd force quit Edge, relaunch it (staying within my account), and nothing. Still non-responsive. But I noticed something. EVERY SINGLE TIME when this happened, my wife's login (she doesn't use Edge at all yet, she uses Safari and sometimes Google Chrome) had the "my account has been backgrounded" icon. I finally switched over to her account, and tried to launch Edge. It worked, but I noticed that after over a year since first install on MY (admin powered) account, up came the "Welcome to Edge" for my wife's version. After that was done, I went back over to my account, had to restart Edge, and it worked just fine.MS Teams for Mac errors on uploading folders
It looks like the MS Teams for Mac client has an issue with uploading folders when using the Upload button. I had a user who was reporting having problems uploading files to Teams and when I sat down with the user, we had no problems doing the Drag and Drop of Folders into the Teams channel, but when she showed me how she normally does it, she clicks on the Upload button, selects a folder, and then it returns an error in uploading. If we do it via Sharepoint's upload, no issue, just using the Teams for Mac app. Anyone else having similar problems?
Outlook Teams add in not working if signed in
Since the last update of Office 365 and Teams, the Team add in does not work in Outlook when appointments are made. I can work around this error by logging out of Office. I use the same account for teams and Office. Outlook version: 16.38 Teams Version 1.3.00.15561. It was last updated on 09/05/2020. Error Message:
Having difficulty screen sharing after Mac OSX 10.15.2 update
I updated to Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.2 and it appears the security setting to allow screen capture in Microsoft Teams is not working anymore. I've updated it back and forth but I keep getting the error below: Here's my setting - I can use snagit fine:'Show Icon only' setting breaks on all Favourites Bar favourites after updates (Dev) on OSX Mojave.
Whenever I update my Dev build (auto or manual) my 'Icon only' links on my ('always visible') Favourites Bar revert to text and icon. It's a small thing, but it drives me nuts! A classic example of Joni Mitchell's "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone." Prior to Edge, I didn't even know I wanted this... now I NEED IT!
