Hello to all those who use the android version of the One Note software. I have recently bought the S6 for note-taking but see that the One Note is still very incapable on the android. Some of the very common features which the One Note offers on the IOS system(Ipad) and even on the windows are--- 1) Shape tools 2) Ink to text and shape 3) The math solving capability 4) Date and time and many more. It's my humble request to the developers to get at least the feature they offer on the IOS (i pad). If something like this is done, there will be no competition left in the market of android and everyone will just get to the One Note, but I request to get this as early as possible as this would not even require some high level developing, I hope the developers of this are well aware of how they had developed the app for IOS. Another thing that can be done is that One Note can even be delivered at some price(only if it gets those features and updates with many more features). (this could as i think make the process of developing much faster). I request all those who are reading it ,if they could give this a like so that the officials read it as soon as possible, thankyou10KViews14likes7CommentsWelcome to OneNote For Android Beta Program!

I am using onenote on Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablet. I take extensive notes with stylus. When I write with stylus, writting shifts couple of pixels up and left. It is really annoying since writting is not responsive and smooth. This problem is valid quite sometime (maybe over a year) and it was normal before. I installed one of the apk issued over a year ago and it is super. I have no problem with other notetaking apps such as Samsung Notes. Anybody else having similar problems?3.8KViews5likes3CommentsDisappearing OneNote App on Android Tablet
Hi, this happened to me sometime back in Sept when I carried out an Android update to version 10. My OneNote app mysteriously uninstalls itself EVERY TIME I power on and off my tablet. This means we have to constantly download and install OneNote. Huge pain, since I intended for this to be a quick note taking app, not a 15 minute endeavor just to open my notes. I have tried: a factory reset. Clearing data and cache from OneNote, Google Play app, Google Play Service. Uninstalled updates from the Google Play app. No dice. I have tried installing other software (Kaspersky antivirus) and that has stayed behind after restarting the tablet, leaving a nice gap where OneNote used to be. On the app store, it look like the OneNote app is still installed. But when I click on it, obviously nothing happens. Tablet is a Lenovo Yoga Smart tab, YT-X705F. Is there anything else I can try, short of waiting for another Android system update and hoping that this problem will fix itself?3.7KViews4likes10CommentsWhere are Sticky Notes in tablet app
Google Play Store states that Sticky Notes have been added to the Android version but I can't see them? This is a key feature as I use sticky notes on my Windows 10 desktop and want to access them on my tablet. For some reason I can see them on my Samsung phone as it has a Sticky Note icon at bottom of OneNote, but not on a Samsung tablet - why?18KViews4likes16CommentsContinuing to miss features
I recently joined the Android beta program for OneNote but was disappointed to find that there were very few changes for the beta build. I am an engineering student and I just switched to a Galaxy Tab S7 from a Surface Pro 5, and I was disappointed to find that a number of features missing from the desktop version of the app. I've sent in feedback through the app a couple times on these types of features, but there hasn't been much transparency from the developers for any feature updates coming down the line. The following features are really important to add: Add spacing tool Expanded hexadecimal/gradient color picker (or just more options) More granular pen size selection (with number of pen size so pens can be set to the same size easily) Tools to change color of existing elements Copy and paste of selected drawings More pen slots (why only 4 slots?) Options for pen button customization (i.e. change S Pen button functions) Shape tools The shape tools are particularly important for my engineering notes. I need to be able to draw shapes quickly to keep up with my lectures and make my notes more clear. Between making graphs or drawing out material deformation, these tools are sorely missed. I hope a developer can reach out and give us and idea if any of these features are in the pipeline.686Views3likes0CommentsMove Notebooks to SD Card
Hi! Is there a future plan to implement this feature (choose where the notebooks should be stored/move data to sd card)? I mean, my tablet has very limited space and my notebooks are growing every day (I use Onenote to annotate my classes). There are a lot of other features missing here, but this one is almost making me give up the app. I also think this is at MS own interest, as Onenote notebooks also count as used space in Onedrive and this affects subscriptions to 365.1.4KViews2likes2CommentsOnenote Problems on Chrome OS/Chromebooks
Can the Onenote for Android team give any info on the state of and plans for Onenote for Android on Chrome OS? I've noticed that even when on the same version number the Chrome OS approved version lags behind both design and feature-wise. For example the Chrome OS version doesn't have sticky notes even when you resize the window to phone size/aspect ratio. Also the typing experience is sub-par at the moment because unlike all the other Office on Android apps, Onenote doesn't accept mouse input except dropping the cursor on a spot on the screen. You can't drag to highlight, double click to highlight, right click for actions or copy/cut/paste functions anywhere in the interface. It makes the experience very unpleasant typing wise. I could use Onenote Online but the feature parity isn't there especially for pen input. It would be much appreciated if the team can speak to any of these concerns. Been an Onenote user since the Surface RT came out so I really want y'all to be great on every platform and dominate the market so please don't take this feedback as negative.Solved8.9KViews2likes9CommentsOneNote New Beta Build Now Available 16.0.11601.20056

Will we ever see basic shapes like lines and arrows on the android version? Also having a proper A4 page to be able to write something that can be printed on an actual page would be useful. All these features are very basic in nature and were present in a OneNote version I used on a tablet PC literally ten years ago and as far as I know are present in the iOS version of OneNote. I therefore really don't believe it can be that hard to implement it.939Views2likes1Comment
