Hello, I am running into an issue when using Online Viewers to view files on a file share. I can open/view the file using Online Viewer, but if the file is then edited the next time the file is opened in Online Viewer it renders a cached copy instead of the recently edited version. Stopping OOS and deleting contents of C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\OfficeWebApps\Working\waccache and starting OOS will get OOS to render a fresh version of the file. Microsoft Professional Support (Convergys) has replicated this behavior in a lab but won't escalate the case or submit a bugfix since I don't have a Premier Support agreement. If anyone from the Office Online team reads this can you look into this issue or suggest a workaround? OOS logs show this on initial opening of the file: w3wp.exe#OpenFromUrlWeb (0x5B54) 0x600C Hosted Office Online Open From Url i4tj Medium Could not find file in cache [\\FILESERVER\SHARE\DWITHDRAWN]: [Disk Cache File Not Found] ab554fc4-ca43-4ef8-a09a-bbb67375e226 Then this message when a cached copy is rendered even though the file has been modified on the file server. w3wp.exe#OpenFromUrlHost (0x27DC) 0x59DC Hosted Office Online Open From Url ah8u8 Medium AFileFetcher: Found cached WebFileInfo in memory. I have created the Office Online Server farm (version 16.0.10338.20039) and integrated it with my SharePoint OnPrem (2019) with the WOPI host. All the things are working fine but I am unable to track changes in word document, as I could not see any feature available when I opened the document. I have also tried to allow Track changes for all in offline document before uploading it in SharePoint environment but getting the same result. My client requirement is to track the changes of the users, those have performed any activity on the document by means of Track changes feature, as it is available in One Drive (the other scenario, just mentioned here for example). I have read many articles related to this, but not sure whether by updating the office online server, solve my issue or not. If yes, then at which version I need to update?618Views0likes0CommentsContent types on one library changing New menu on all libraries in a site
I have a SharePoint Server 2019 farm set up, which is bound to an Office Online Server farm. I do not want the +New menu on document libraries to display the Office documents as the experience of creating a new document in OOS is not the best. I have removed the binding for the edit and editnew actions and that had removed these options from the +New menu as required. On one of the libraries on one of my sites I subsequently allowed management of content types and created custom content types. The +New menu displayed the custom content types. However all the other libraries on the site are now showing the Office documents in the +New menu, and selecting any of these of course doesn't create a valid Office document. So changing one library's settings has affected the whole site. Changing the library settings back to not allowing management of content types does not revert this behaviour - the modified library now also displays the Office documents in the +New menu. This is seen in multiple browsers and in the modern view of the libraries. Any ideas as what could be going on with this? How can the +New menu behaviour be corrected? Note this is an on premise environment, not M365. Edited: on further testing this is difference between the site templates. Removing the OOS bindings for edit and editnew actions on the SharePoint server farm affects the New menu on libraries in a communication site, but not on libraries in a team site. The sequence of events led me to believe it was the content types having this affect. It would still be good to know if there is any way to change the behaviour of the New menu.842Views0likes0CommentsSharePoint 2019 on-premise : During site search, on click documents are downloading

How to solve the use of different Internal URL and External URL using HTTPS, I assume that only one certificate can be used, so this certificate must be SAN type with two names. If the internal domain name is a local domain of the type name.local or name.internal, then the internal DNS name should not be visible in a publicly visible certificate. How to solve such a problem?918Views0likes0Comments
