New Tab Page hijacking, forced advertising
Edge has recently started switching off my preferred New Tab page extension and replacing it with its own New Tab page. Worse yet, the default New Tab page doesn't even respect my saved settings like not showing me any sponsored links. This is precisely the kind of behavior that landed Microsoft in an antitrust suit in the '90s. If this continues, I'll not only be uninstalling Edge from all my devices (I'm a Mac user), I'll be filing a complaint with the FTC.
New tab page App launcher apps missing after update
After a recent update to Microsoft Edge Chromium ( I am now on Version 94.0.992.38 (Official build) (64-bit) ), the App launcher no longer shows all of the items that it used to show and does not show the same items as when I open the menu from an office 365 app. This is what it shows now: And this is what is showed before the update: Any idea why it has stopped showing my full menu? It was a really nice experience before and now I have to click through to a different app or 'all apps' to find what I want. There needs to be an option in the new tab page in Edge to initiate a web search using voice and picture (reverse image search), instead of having to go to the Bing and then click on the microphone icon, Or going to Bing images and doing the reverse search.New Tab shorcuts without background like on Mobile [Suggestion]
On the last build of Microsoft Edge the "tiles" were removed from the new tab page, from my point of view that change didnt help too much to make less notable the icons inconsistency. My personal suggestion is remove the shorcuts background just like in the mobile version. Beside the new tab in the mobile version of chrome, Edge one looks thousand times better.Edge 84 stable released and still No option to set custom picture for the new tab page !?!
Edge Version 84.0.522.40 (Official build) (64-bit) there is still no option to set custom picture for new tab page. I had that option more than 3 months ago on Edge dev, after 3 months, it still isn't available in Edge stable.more consitent settings for "new tab page"
I would prefere it to have the settings for the "new tab page" within the settings menu (edge://settings). detailed description: At the moment you find a link to new tab page under "settings" > "new tab page" where you the can change the settings. I think it is more consistent to have it the other way: Please move the real settings controls under "Settings" > "new tab page" and link from "new tab page" to the settings page. By the way then you can add a link to the search bar settings (for new tab page) under "settings" > "new tab page". So the user can find them faster. If you also miss or like this feature pleas feel free to comment or giving likes. The list has been incomplete for a while so i was wondering when the rest of the countries will be added there are only 60 countries on the list and there are 200 countries in the world. it's not just for language but also more importantly for News sources
