Deploying Moodle on Azure – things you should know
Moodle is one of the most popular open-source learning management platform empowering educators and researchers across the world to disseminate their work efficiently. It is also one of the most mature and robust OSS applications that the community has developed and improvised over the years. We have seen customers from small, medium, and large enterprises to schools, public sector, and government organizations deploying Moodle in Azure. As the demand for online collaboration and engagement increases in the education world with hybrid and blended learning, Microsoft Teams listened to its users and made Teams LTI apps available within Moodle LMS.
Microsoft LMS Gateway is now generally available with Moodle (for Teams LTI apps)
Introduction Microsoft LMS Gateway allows institutions to use Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) apps from Microsoft with their Learning Management System (LMS). It is a fully compliant product and is certified from https://site.imsglobal.org/certifications/microsoft/microsoft-lms-gateway on LTI 1.3 standards. It is currently available to use with Moodle. Other LMSs such as Open LMS, D2L Brightspace etc will be available soon. IT admins can create, view or delete registration for the LTI app of their choice on Microsoft LMS Gateway. Currently, IT admins can register Microsoft Teams Classes LTI and Microsoft Teams Meetings LTI apps only. More LTI apps from Microsoft will be available on Microsoft LMS Gateway in the future. How can this benefit your organization Microsoft LMS Gateway is the one stop destination for admins to manage all their LTI apps from Microsoft for any compliant LMS. Once LTI apps are registered in Microsoft LMS gateway, you will be able to use them inside your LMS. What you need to do to prepare Users of Moodle LMS will be able to register Microsoft Teams LTI apps on Microsoft LMS Gateway. Moodle Tab in Teams Created by Moodle
Hi, I've https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/moodleinstructions Moodle and Teams and this is fantastic! Courses that I create in Moodle now sync automatically to 365 and create groups, as well as a team in Teams. But for some reason I have to manually add the Moodle tab to these teams. They show up only with "chats" and "files" tabs. Is there a way to add the Moodle tab automatically to the sync Teams? Thanks!
