Sharepoint Modern View reverting all date/time fields to "AM" after saving "edit all".
Hi everyone, Looking for a solution or workaround, or maybe a patch for this issue. This issue apparently affects all of our Sharepoint lists. When an item is edited using the "Edit All" function, the date/time fields (which are "Event Start" and "Event End") end up switching any after noon times from "PM" to "AM". It doesn't seem to be doing the reverse. It doesn't seem to affect it if the date/time field is edited in the process of using "Edit All". It doesn't seem to affect it if individual fields are edited by themselves. This is only happening when editing the list item in the Modern View. Please let me know what we can do! Thanks!
Menuentrys does not work in Modern View
Hello, installed SP Subscription Edition with March 2022 Update and try to use the modern view. If i use some menu entries like websitepermission form the gear icon or the three dot menu from documents nothing - really nothing happens. If i change to the classic sharepoint view, everything works fine. ULS Views and Event Views no helpful informations. What could be the reason for that? Use and Install Sharepoint since Version 2013 in different companies and have never the same expernience before. Same situation on all browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome on all clients and even directly on the server with Webapps are not behind the loadbalancer. Just to let you know in the company are some "experts" who like to manipulate all Settings (Security, GPO, Operation System) Any helpful ideas? Thx
Connected webparts in modern view not available. Embed a part of a "classic" page in to modern view?
Hi and good day, as connected webparts seem not to be available until now, eventhough this has been announced in 2018 already with an undefined date, I am looking for a solution to deviate somehow. Is it possible to embed parts of a classic page to a modern one? Let's say, we have one list and six connected libraries to filter from, and I want to embed those parts (list and libraries) only to a modern page - how can I do that? Thanks in advance, Tobias
Properties do not display due to JSON JavaScriptSerializer error
I have a SharePoint online library that utilizes several lookup columns. The other day we started receiving errors in the modern view when trying to view the properties. The error we are getting is "Sorry, properties can not be displayed, having error: Error during serialization or deserialization using the JSON JavaScriptSerializer. The length of the string exceeds the value set on the maxJsonLength property.." If I look at the library in classic view everything appears to be operating correctly, modern just seems to be the issue. Any ideas on where I should be looking to find the source of the problem? I looked at the developer tools in Chrome (F12) and noticed there were a few 400 errors getting returned for the /GetList(@listUrl)/RenderListDataAsStream...... Not sure if that has anything to do with the problem or if it is just a symptom of the cause.
Modern Calendar Add new item page error: "Page creation has failed"
We have started seeing this issue where when users try to create a new Calendar item using modern calendar webpart's + add item link, they see an error message: "Page creation has failed because you don't have permissions to create a page on this site." See attachment. When they click on the Close button on the error message, they can continue to create the calendar entry and save it without problem. The "Pages" document library has "Read" permission for all the users because we don't want them to create or edit site pages but for Calendar they have Edit permission so they should be able to create a new calendar entry, which they are able to but it shows this error message. This is something new. We have tested in all browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) with same message.
Managed Metadata Column Filter - Incomplete Filter Choice Values
A managed metadata column with ~215 terms only displays the first ~100 or so when attempting to filter documents in a view by that column. I can tag documents with any of the terms in the set, but cannot filter a view with values beyond the 100th or so term. I've scrolled to the bottom of the list of filter choices in hope there might me a "more" option, but there's nothing there that indicates I could load the other terms as filter options like the metadata filtering worked in previous versions of SharePoint. Also, I've inspected the HTML of the page and validated there are no addition values that might not be visible due to a UI bug or inability to scroll further.
Deselect File(s) when Scrolling Files using Touch Screen (modern view)?
How does one quickly deselect files, that have been selected when scrolling through a file list using touch screen? Scrolling through a file list on SharePoint Online Modern View using touch screen is constantly selecting one or more files. One touches the X (upper right 20 Selected X), which then scrolls the view to another spot in the list. This makes it quite frustrating to work with on a touch screen.
